What is power factor?
Power factor is the ratio of actual electrical power being used versus actual electrical power available. Conventional generators without power factor correction capabilities are being affected by the AC components such as motors in your operation making your gensets work harder.

This in turn creates a scenario where your generator tries to compensate by creating more power which only compounds the efficiency issue.

Now you have a generator package that is not using 35% to 50% of the power its creating. Once a generator is coupled to a “Power Vault” this problem is eliminated through the Vaults programming ability to identify these inefficiencies – correct them — thus lowering the power consumption placed on the unit.

This correlates to reduced maintenance and longer life spans on your generator, you will now have the ability to run more electrical based equipment on the same generator platform.
